2010 C6 base auto not shifting

2010 C6 base auto not shifting
I’m having trouble getting out of first while in drive, shifts fine through park through sport but while in drive doesn’t seem to get out of first just goes up in rpm’s, also won’t pop up the gears on the dash in sport mode.

When you move the gear selector from park into "S" you can manually shift up through sixth gear and back down and it shifts as it should, but the gear indicator on the HUD doesn't show what gear you're in.
When you shift into sport mode are you clicking the down shift before diving?
Do you have a bi-directional scanner? Are you getting any codes? Check engine light? When is the last time you changed your transmission fluid? How many miles are on the car? Did you check the transmission fluid level?

If I'm understanding you correctly, when you move the gear selector from park into "D" the car moves forward but won't shift into second gear.

when I put it in s it doesn’t work either and doesn’t show on hud , I downshift before I start moving. My motor blew up and I just replaced it with a built one and put a new converter on before the first start up , also had ecu replaced with a used one because it wasn’t cranking or starting with old ecu and somehow taking off the horn relay is the only way the car starts. I replaced tcm after finding out it wouldn’t shift, and put new transmission filter and oil pan gasket. Transmission has 90k miles
