Default Heads Fix

I know there is a lot of information about “head fixing” here. I am not a mechanic and not an IC motor expert by any stretch.

My question is this. If you send in your heads to have them “fixed”, what is being done to alleviate the problem? If they are just inspected and nothing is changed, that doesn’t seem to be a fix.

What needs done as a fix?

by the way, the search engine on this forum seems hard to use, so I know there is a **** ton on the issue…

So the issue was with 427 or LS7 engines mainly in Z06. Here is a write up on it

I would invest in a sprig compressor if its called that. The one you would change springs with and then take the keepers out then you can check ifs you have excessive wobble. If you can do it yourself or have a mechanic do it and saves you a ton of money so you don't have to take the heads off and saves you a ton of money. JMO
