Every so often I get a service stability control, service abs, service traction control message on the DIC. 13 Base Vert with approx. 63k miles on it. All 4 TPMS sensors are fine. All new pads and rotors (this would happen before that though).
I turn the ignition off and back on and it goes away. Scanned for codes as I had to replace my brake pedal position sensor due to a no start condition. Which that fixed.
Codes are C0131-0 ABS SYSTEM PRESSURE CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION and C0161-00 ABS BRAKE SYSTEM SWITCH CIRCUIT. Both in the EBCM module. Is there something I should look at or is it possible the pedal position switch failing caused this?
I figure the sensor was the cause of my no crank and PRESS BRAKE TO START message that didn’t go away with the pedal pushed. I was getting a C0277-06 BRAKE PEDAL POSITION SWITCH SHORT TO GROUND OR OPEN. I cleared the DTCs and drove the car about 10 miles and the problem didn't return but the Traction/Stability error would go weeks without showing up before.
