Default Selective displacement on the LS2?

It was all the talk a few months ago, with tech articles in the magazines. 8 or 6 or 4 cylinders as required for performance or economy. Is it really going to happen?

Displacement on demand will not be on the C6 due to frame harmonic issues which made it possible for the occupants to tell when the engine is operating as a V4.
