Default Waver or Flasher? That's the question!

Great top down day in south Fl. I wave. Even to C4's and 3's, and Mini's But wait-when I'm in my C6 I'm goin' flash-why? because I can and they can't. Would anyone consider flashing and waving!? :seeya

Save the WAVE - Please. It contributes to the vette mystique. I never see Porsche or Jag owners wave to each other on the way to the shop. Please, let's keep the wave - it's really not that much of an inconvenience, is it?

Maybe I'm a bit weird, but to me the flash is a warning / request to get the he*l out of my way or a notice that a cop with radar is behind me somewhere so be carefull. At a stop light the flash says, hey everyone look at me! The flash actually takes more effort than lifting your hand off the wheel for about a half second.

Maybe the reduced number of waves today is a sign of insecurity. Many new vette drivers may be afraid that the other guy won't wave back. I hope that's not the case. I would prefer to think that they just don't know about the custom. These days about 8 of every 10 C4 and older vette drivers wave back to me (I wave to every vette I see) and about 2 of every 10 C5 drivers wave back (Z06 drivers seem to be more likely to wave).
