Hi Joe,
Your bi-xenon headlamps use the same outside light for both low and high
beam. If you were to put your car in front of a wall, day or night, and you
push forward to engage high beam. You will notice the Xenon lamp move up.
There is a shutter that covers the top portion when low beams are on and
when high beams are on, the shutter is released so the light output is of
high angle. The inside halogen lamp system is for DRL and for flashing.
Since before when we pull back on the highbeam lever, the highbeams would
turn on when you have the lever pulled back. Xenon are not good at flashing
on and off several times a second so the halogen is still there to flash.
Hopefully that sounds alright to you. Everything is fine with your car!
