Default Lumbar problem in the Drivers Side Do you Know?

The only problem I have found with the C6 is that the Driver side lumbar does not blow up. You can hear the motor running however it does not inflate. I checked the obvious cant see anything not hooked up. The Dealer said that they will need to pull it apart. Anyone know anything about these seats, will this come out ugly!! I hesitate to bring it in for work being afraid of scratches etc. on and on.

Default Regarding Lumbar

I had an 87 and a 94 and my 87 would not hold the lumbar once it was inflated. On the new C6, I sat in one car and was very impressed that the lumbar worked so good and it felt great on my old back. I sat in another C6 on the showroom floor of another delaership and noticed that the lumbar wouldn't inflate like the other one did and I just didn't think about it much more until I read your post. I would say that you have a bad seat and I would insist that the dealer replace the entire seat under warranty. If you have the delership take the seat apart and try to fix it, you may regret it.

my lumber and side supports just went dead. they were working last week and i went to check them right now, turn the car on and everything and now neither pass nor driver work. i am actually considering leaving it like that because i dont want the dealer to mess with the car.

It is probably a bad pump (which is connected to the motor). I had to replace mine in my C4 years ago, because the diaphragms had holes.

It is debatable whether you would be better off with a new seat. The new seat may be worse than the one you have, especially with shipping damage. Then you've got color matching issues, because they were built at different times. The pumps usually are not hard to fix, so hopefully the dealer has their service manuals to do it properly.
