Just wondering what you guys think, I don't think it will take as long as it did with the C5 since so muhc of the engine is the same. What does everyone else think?
The C6 will benefit from all the R&D that went into after market C5 accessories. I believe C6 owners won't have to wait as long as C5 owners did on after market mods.
That will be one of the C5's legacies. C6 owners will reap the benefits. Cool!
It will be a long time . There's not that many guys even running nines anymore with C5's , and the C6 is too nice of a car for the majority of the guys out there to make it an unstreetable 8-second car .

Don't tell OpticZ06 that
It's almost funny how everyone keeps comparing the release of the C6 to the release of the C5. Think about how much technology has advanced since 1997. The internet is thriving competition and the aftermarket manufactures realize the need to get their products to the market before anyone else so they can cash in on the sales. I would say whatever you saw happen with the C5 you will see in 1/3 the time with teh C6.

How about we just focus on an aftermarket first. Then we can worry about the 10 second time slip, then the 9s and only then can we worry about the 8s!! LOL!! J/K!!!
I don't think it'll be that long. The C6 comes with a good amount of power "Stock". It'll be easier to make "faster" than the C5 seeing it came with more hp and tq.
