New Cartek C6 Track Numbers
60': 2.172
1/8: 8.15
1/8 MPH: 92.43
1/4: 12.389
1/4 MPH: 117.11
We had some tire spin on this run, as we were only running 18" drag radials. Track conditions were below average, and very slick. The next run went like this:
60': 1.79
1/8: 7.97
1/8 MPH: 88.79
1/4: 12.34
1/4 MPH: 113.46
A missed shift on this run kept the MPH down and hurt ET. With a clean pass there's even more in this car, even with the minimal mods on the car. The current mods are Kooks longtube headers with high flow cats, 160 degree thermostat, and Cartek fan controller.
They are FINE if you claim them, but they are a major mod, in my not so humble opinion - since 99% of us are NOT going to run them on the car anywhere except the track.

Based on my 00' times........these times and the added 50 hp/tq over a C5...........an auto C6 should break the 11's with a good driver, cat back, headers, cold air, tires @ a tune

Nice power and mph its looking good for performance when the tuning software come out. Dave are you planning on running the CCW wheels on the back with ET streets?
We will also be installing a clutch next week. The original clutch does not like a hard launch.
As per tuning software, I don't know when it will be released.
How is your test car coming along?

The car is fine it makes 530 RWHP and 615RWT now with the borlas and x pipe,. Holley was just hear for the last two days looking at the C6's nitrous kit they are basing the new kit from this car so that was fun along with abunch of free stuff. We put the CCw wheels on the back for the ET streets and you are right I had to grind the hell out of everything to make them fit and they still rub so I give up on that. The clutch is a joke you are right, down low it just wants to slip with the 615 RWT I just dont get it
. The engine come out next week but like everyone I will just have to wait for the tuning software to come out. Those numbers with the hooks headers are great I have a set coming for the car from JR now I know what to expect.Cheers

I've seen a couple of posts now that lead me to believe the "torque management feature" (aka, computer limiting) seems to be holding the C6 back from ideal performance.
This fits very well with other things I have observed:
1. The car is powered very near a C5 Z06 and doesn't weigh all that much more, yet it seems a lot slower than it should be.
2. The RWHP isn't far from a C5 Z06, yet the performance doesn't seem to be there.
3. Logically, it would make sense that you could have the RWHP, and the factory hp and weight numbers to almost compete with a C5 Z06, but you could program the computer to cause the car to perform poorly in order to protect weak parts.
That said, I'd like to see some tests with a stock C6 Z51 and mods only to the programming in order to eliminate the torque management feature.
I realize it is too late for your car, but this could be the difference in a C6 Z51 being "all it can be" without opening up the engine.
Just thinking aloud,

Looking forward to seeing the C6 again. I saw it that first Saturday you guys brought it to E-Town about a month ago to get some baseline numbers.

NICE #'s!!!! Glad to see you are making some progress with this car so quickly!
