Default Navigation = Kenwood?

Well I was a car audio place this morning with a friend who is getting an alarm for his Cooper S. Anyways I was playing with the latest kenwood dvd, nav system with one of those pop out displays. Anyways to my amazement the navigation it it was almost identicle to the one in our cars. The buttons, options, operation were the exact same. Some other visually distinctive stuff had been done, but it was essentially the exact same! Anyways, I guess there may be home for this display playing dvd's after all.....just thought I would share. Cheers.

Does it have a AM/FM/XM tuner? That would be a good replacement, although it still wouldn't interface with the HUD.

The Pioneer AVIC-N1 has NAV/DVD movies/MP3/CD-r playback with "G" force readout, speed, RPM, backup camera capable, and XM ready...all in one package, not two separate modules like some of the older generation aftermarket NAV units.

Again, Serenity Sound Laboratories is happy to give special pricing to any corvette forum members.

Please PM me with any requests.

Our reccomendation is the Eclipse Navigation Unit, because it does not have a pop up screen that obscures guages.

This has been extensively covered in another thread, both the fact that it is a Kenwood, and that it will not play DVDs.

I have the new Kenwood 7015 in my C5, and it also has no pop up screen. Highly recommended.
