Creaky Center Console
I just picked up my C6 Museum Delivery on Monday of last week. I am exstatic about the car and I love it!!! The only complaint is my center console squeeks!?!??! Any of you all have this problem? Any fixes? Thanks!!

I have an occasional squeak when hitting a hard bump. Have not found it yet, but I've narrowed it down to either the glove box door or the passenger window. I suspect that it's the glove box, which should be an easy fix. I've been enjoying driving it too much to spend much time hunting it down.

After two weeks and 2,800 miles we heard a center console squeak tonight. My wife found that applying pressure to the outside (sliverpart) along the passager side of the cup holder eliminated our squeak. If it continues, I'll start with the silicone or maybe just stick a folded piece of electrical tape up there. (Yes, I know $50K+ for a car and I'm using tape to fix it...hey, I'm from Texas.)

Plano huh?!?!?! Other side of the world......I mean DFW from me!!! I noticed that if you press on the silver part of the console it squeaks too...I think that I am going to try the tape thing....seems to creak around where the A/C controls contact the edge of the plastic....are you loving your car as much as I am!!??!?!?!?!

You're cracking me up! My C5 has no squeaks or rattles! It is a 2000 coupe. This is a big difference from the C4 battleship of squeaking I'm used to - I'm VERY disappointed to hear that the C6 is commonly suffering from squeaks - this isn't something that I want put back into my corvette!

No. Cabin is much quiter with less road (tire) noise. New run-flats are great compared to the last generation.
Same amount of cabin "squeak" as in my previous C5. It just comes across a little more clearly now that I can't hear all the road noise.
