We have been working with GM engineers at the proving grounds to make a high performance radiator for the new 2006 Z06. The result is a double row radiator that will fit all 2005-2006 cars. GM test results show a 30 degree drop in cooling temps.
These are now available and listed on our websiteDEWITTS
"Cool" (no pun intended<G>).....looks like a "first" - a product that is priced for the real world.
HOWEVER - my question is - Does a street 'vette need, or really want, a 30 deg. drop in operating temperature?
Cruising at over 40mph in 75 deg. temps I "run" about 196 give or take. Creeping in traffic I've noticed it get up to about 210-215 or so.
I can see the "race" applications but would it be TOO efficient for the street?
Your car cannot be "cooled" any lower than your thermostat setting once the car warms up... but a more efficient radiator could make the car's temperature run cooler, nearer the thermostat level while idling in traffic... now THAT is performance!!

OF COURSE!...sheessssh I feel like a dweeb!!

I have the dewitts radiator in my 2003 ZO6 and it works like a champ. I used to see oil temps in the 240-260 range when driving it hard, and water temps around the 220 range. now it hits 190 and never goes any higher. oil temps are now in the 220 range.
