Default Callaway C6

Well I was up at Callaway on thursday to check out their new product line ... I was able to preview the possible aerobody styling package that will be available . It gives the C6 a more aggressive look . I had gone to the track to see the car run with some of the developemental products on the car. The car was in the 11's They have alot of things in developement for the car...

Default Callaway Aerobody

Pics are not available for public view as it is still in developement and have several designs. Myself and 89x2 were asked as to which designs we liked and we had both picked the same one .It really complimented the looks of the C6 and gave it a more aggressive look. They are offering a whole product line for the C6 Some really good stuff.

I sure would like to see them get back into racing, the Porshes need some solid comp in GT3 in AMLS. I'm also glad to see that they are getting back to mainsteam products.

Callaway_Cars is indeed getting back into everything that has set the company at the leading edge of Corvette performance for the past two decades!

From the current C6 project car (build-up details on the Callaway Cars website) to the AeroBody packages under development, C6 TT, and a couple more surprises on the horizon, Callaway Cars is very busy these days!!

If you are in the Chicago area - their C6 development car will be at the Chevy - Vette Fest this upcoming weekend with a display of products offered for the C4, C5 and now the C6

Enjoy!

Please post some pics of that when you get them. I've always loved Callaway cars. I hope they look something like the C4 aero stuff especially the lower rear slits and the taillights, I love that look. It would fit too since the new C6 is a bit retro.

I was fortunate enough to have a glimpse of the mock-up design as well - Callaway won't let us down!

Does anyone know how they plan to make this available to the public? Will they be like Mallet where you drop off your car and get a package done to it or will they make them available at certain dealers much like Ford does with Saleen Mustangs? I would much prefer being able to goto a dealer, see it in person and drive away with what I want. I'm already starting to dream about a C6 TT with an aerokit parked in my garage. Not sure how Corvette fans will feel about it but would be neat if they offered the car in stages at a dealer. Stage1 wheels, exhaust, badges etc., Stage2 some more mods and maybe the aero kit as an option, Stage3 Full TT package with aerokit and special TT Callaway badges.

Right now, the plan is to either bring the car to Callaway Cars in Old Lyme, CT or have a new one shipped there when ordered or, order through a preferred dealer network and have the car shipped back once done -
There is another idea or two floating around - lot's happening

I hope to be able to add more soon - Stay tuned...

Will you be able to buy parts helter skelter or do they intend to offer defined packages?

Callaway Cars currently is marketing their products individually or in what is called "Power Groups"

The Power Group approach allows a logical build-up to be done with the parts proven best to work together - I recently drove their test Z06 for a while (about 2500 miles) and also had seat time in their C6 which is under construction and each was more powerful than stock - esp. the 6.8L in the Z06

...here is more info on the Power Groups for the C5 - C6 to be listed soon: Callaway_Power_Groups_Info Hope this helps

Looks like a C5 to me. Notice the overhangs, dash, has passenger grab handle, door handles, roof, etc. That is nice looking though.

Indeed, that is the Callaway C12 - based upon the C5 chassis, it was widened to a full 2 meters wide

Callaway C12's are awesome - driving one is like an event
