noise in rear diff

noise in rear diff
Just picked up my c-6 z-51, six speed. I noticed a grating noise in the rear diff when turning at low speed. Expect this is related to the limited sliff diff. Will wait and see just curious if that is something noted in the C-6. Feels pretty goood up to 4000 rpm today.

Your diff might need an additive they put in the lube. When I switched the diff on my C5, it made that exact sound, took it to the dealer, they put in the additive and the sound was gone.
Hope this helps. BTW - the additive has a GM part number and came in a tiny GM labeled plastic bottle.

Rear diff noise
Thanks guys, I appreciate the help, will give it a try. The power cornering and ride are enough for me to over look a lot of the little noises. 5500 on some canyon work tonight 240 miles all seems well
