Z51 C6 vs Base C6 w/equal drivers

Many references say a race btwn the C6 Z51 and C5 Z06 would come down to the driver.

Does that also apply to the Z51 C6 and Base C6? (both 6 spd)

I think they'd be equal *if* you equalized the rubber. One is running EMTs while the other is running real rubber.

The difference between a base C6 and a Z51 C6 is greater than the difference between the Z51 C6 and the C5 Z06.

The gearing and the tires are the major points of interest, as they both have exactly the same engine.

Equal drivers base vs. z51, z51 would win every time.

Both versions of the C6 have run-flat tires.
