Oil Pressure

The oil pressure in my C6 is around 40psi. My 02 Camaro SS is around 60psi. Is 40psi on the LS2 normal?

Mine has been around 39 lbs hot - 39/40 is normal -That Mobil 1 pumps easy! I have 2500 miles

Anyone figure out yet if the gauge is a real gauge or if its controlled by the PCM like on many other cars?

The highest pressure I've seen at idle has been 51 PSI. That was just after startup, cold engine, air temp about 20F. When the oil gets up to operating temperature, pressure drops to 38-40 PSI at low to moderate RPMs, runs up to about 48 PSI at redline.
