Default Camshaft Poll

Anyone that has installed a Camshaft in the LS2 engine please respond.

Please give the Duration and LSA of the cam you installed as well as type of transmission and whether any SES codes were set as a result of the cam.

I am considering installing a 224/224 cam with a 114 LSA in my MN6 car. I think that is about as "wild" as I can go without tuning. I am just hoping I wont get misfire SES codes.

Even a cam of that moderate size will probably need tuning to run decently. Can you wait a couple months till tuning sofware is available? Then you can go as wild as you want.

One of the tuners has all ready installed a fairly small cam, smaller than you spec'd, and did not get the results one would expect. Tuning is going to be critical and I don't, personally, believe you can expect to put a 224/224 duration cam in without tuning it.

We have installed two of our MDMC-Z1 cam shafts now one with heads and an a automatic and one without heads 6 speed. No codes have been set in 300 + miles but the duration you are talking about and LSA I would have to say you will set codes all day long with no software.
