I probably shouldn't even dignify this with a response but I am assuming your intentions are positive and you are simply misinformed.

I can only speak for Borla Performance but there is obviously some confusion here because your statement is completely false. The Borla C5 and C6 X-pipes are totally different and not interchangable. The Borla C6 X-pipe is 3 pieces and has slip fit connectors over the axel. The Borla C5 X-Pipe is one piece and has flanges over the axel. C5 X-Pipe is a "cut and clamp", the C6 is "direct fit/bolt on". We spent months develping the X-Pipe for the C6 and it has nothing to do with the C5. Conversely, we spent months develping the X-Pipe for the C5 and it has nothing to do with the C6.

I'm really not sure how such false information could be presented in this confident of a manner. Considering how misinformed you are, the finger wave is completely classless. Unless your intention is to mislead your fellow forum members, please be more careful in your assumptions. Next time I would suggest contacting the manufacturer directly and checking the facts before you preach so confidently.

We at Borla have made a significant effort to make ourselves accessable to the Corvette community so that we can assist in manners such as this. After all of the blood, sweat and tears we put into the development of our parts it's a real slap in our face when something as incorrect as this gets posted.

Hey David - don't get offended. Some of the C6 guys are lacking little things like "a clue". Some are real vette guys, and some are just not car guys, let alone vette guys - they need some time to "age" - and no, I'm not talking about their physical age.

We, in the vette community, greatly appreciate all the efforts your company (and all the other exhaust manufacturers) go through to develop these products. Keep up the good work!

Hey David...this was not meant to defy Borla or BB...I just read through another thread about this issue and did some research (hense the pictures) and by the pictures anyone could see that those were not C6 X pipes YET THEY WERE PICTURED UNDER THE C6 EXHAUST SECTION ON THOSE SITES. So if anyone is misinformed its those distributors who sell your products and put the wrong pictures up of the product. Im sure your product is good, but as a consumer I just wanted to make sure through other forum members who possibly purchased your product if it all worked out ok. And after I did realize that the picture was incorrect and not the product.I did EDIT my thread as you can see right away. Believe me this was all done with a positive intension. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

bdc6, David, I understood the post to say the pictures were incorrect (c-5 x-pipe photo posted under c- prducts)) but the product was correct. It is sometimes easy to be misunderstood isn't it. I thought bdc6 was trying to keep people from worring due to the photo and it sounds like David felt like most of us if we thought we were being misrepresented. It all good

I think there are a few guys getting ready to post sound clips on this forum. I have received numerous emails from enthusiasts who received their shipment and are about to post their evaluations. Stay tuned and we thank you for your interest and patience.

Default where's to compare....

isn't this a vs' thread ??

my question about these two x-pipe is;

i notice the bb x-pipe is a 2.5 setup. what size is the borla ?

I've also noticed that the majority of the headers use a 3" collector, hhmmm... wouldn't it be better if the pipe and the collector were matched, giving a dual 3" system ? why the reduction ?
