So you install the CAGS eliminator on the cable we removed from the tranny, tie wrap the cable up and out of the way, then you're done without plugging anything back into the tranny????

The CAGS eliminator should be two pieces. One side plugs into the cable you remove from the tranny. This one contains the resistor to make it think the solenoid is still there. The other piece is just sealed so it will keep the tranny connector clean. I can't remember the colors for certain but I believe the blue connector plugs into the connector on the tranny and the black one plugs into the connector you removed from the tranny it is also blue. The connectors will only fit one way. I hope this helps

I am wondering if you didn't recieve both pieces. The one I helped a member install came plugged together. Once you unplugged them, you had both the tranny blank off and the wire loom resister load.

Are you sure that the weatherstrip grommet didn't just end up in the wrong end when you unplugged it. I can't remember now from doing mine, but I think there is a soft rubber grommet in there and when you pull apart the plug, it should stay on one side but it might be possible for it to get stuck in the other (wrong) side.

Maybe?

Any luck yet JFT?? I got mine in today with reasonable luck. I'd be happy to talk you thru it if you're still having any issues.

Looked to both of us that maybe the goo needed to go, to accommodate the harness male connector. Dug around the blunt end of the eliminator plug and stopped once we saw the elec connections. What am I missing here besides a good mechanical brain? FRF Z06 is a mechanical ace, he rebuilds engines, so I don’t feel too bad. Help please.
I got an A4 Z51 can I get CAGS too...they have to make some kind of mod for A4's too!!

Good luck.
Just bought my 6-speed and I hate the CAGS system. My experience with new Corvettes is zero. I found the CAGS eliminator at Corvette Central. Before I order it, I though I would ask whether there is a better part available than the one at Corvette Central.

And, I may require assistance. My experience with electronics problems is mostly with my (former) 67. Thanks in advance.

Only 2 different types. A one piece and a 2 piece. All vendors sell one or the other. Corvette Central does not Make anything other than $ . Either is fine. $20-25 ought to cover it. Yet to install mine. We just got a bit confused how to plug it in. There was a cover on one side that led to my confusion.

Thanks. I ordered the kit for 20.00 from Corvette Central. As long as they have one in stock, I'm all set and then, goodbye CAGS.
