I have to agree. If the engineer types, who cry at night in the hopes that some diety can show them 1/10th of a horsepower, could simply change air cleaner elements for instant power, I'm sure that they would.

I ruined my radiator trying to cut a hole in the shroud so I could get cold air to the filter area. What a waste of money for unlikely gain. Now I am waiting for a radiator from Michigan and have to tow the car to a shop to replace the radiator. Wonder what that will cost? Maybe that will teach me a lesson.

If I remember correctly, the first thing you'd hit drilling through the shroud is the AC condenser. Did it spew a white gas at high pressure or drain a green liquid? If it shot a high pressure gas with maybe a little oil residue, you probably ordered the wrong part and you really drilled through the AC condenser and not the radiator.

Just thought I'd mention it.

Not only that but in my C5 there wasn't even a 3 degree difference in Temp at highway speed.

I've got the K&N filters in mine, cut the covers off flush with the K&N's, keep the 2nd cover on to protect against water. Did two dyno pulls, one with the cover and one without. Made 352RWHP and 353RWTQ. Not even 1hp difference with or without the cover. I'm happy, it's a good starting point. Today my car goes to Magnaflow for some R&D, in return I get there street version. If it doesn't drone or resonate I'll keep it If not they can have it back. Kooks should be in this week, and finally Jessel 1.8 rockers. Anyway, the K&N's work cost $98.00 for the two.
GM did there homework on the intake side of these LS2's
