Default Advice pls?

C6 going back to service tomorrow as after only having the car for two days noticed a loud clicking noise coming from the steering wheel(did post this on another thread). Service department stated it was a broken cable(coil) from the airbag and they finally have the spare part to repair this tomorrow. My main question is this....................

As it's a fairly long journey to my nearest dealer for the first oil change and service(not to mention the business with taxi's to and from work) and I only will have some 250 miles or so on the clock, is it worth having the oil changed so early(I know this question comes up frequently so forgive me for asking again) or should I wait until 750 miles to 1000 miles? Been reading about the metal fragments that find themselves into the pan that should be removed earlier rather than later, although admitedly this is really early. Is there any harm in doing so and what, apart from the first oil change would they be doing for a first service? TIA.

p.s. Read many threads regarding taking it easy for the first 500 miles or so............tried to, really did for the first 150 miles, but finally found a highway and couldn't resist could I Had one little blast to 110mph probably shouldn't have done, but what a joy..sheer power, grace and did I have this grin on my face.........

Well put it this way.. An oil change is 30-35 bux on the car.. So its not a really big deal if the dealer doesnt do the first one.. You can do the first one yourself and let the dealer do the second one when the oil life shows low.. Just make sure you get the airbag fixed immediately.. thats not something you want to screw with.
