Default Z51 Performance increase?

I am a bit confused. I have been trolling around looking at how I am going to order m next vette and I seem to be seeing that the Z51 performance increase is only on the A4 tranny since they change the gearing but not with the MN6 (retains its 3.42) I guess my question is, what is the performance difference between mn6 and a4 with and w/o the z51 package?

Thanks

With the auto tranny, the Z51 gets the 3.15 rear axle instead of the 2.73, but the gear ratios stay the same.

With the manual tranny, when you add the Z51, the rear axle is the same (3.42), but the gear ratios change for the first 3 gears.

As a result, for the 0-60 times, the GM estimates are 4.1 sec for the manual w Z51, 4.3 for manual w/o Z51, 4.5 for auto w Z51, 4.6 for auto w/o Z51.

There's lots of other reasons to pick up the Z51 besides the 0-60 times...

Yes, the other items I am quite clear on, I was just curious about this particular aspect though. I am eager to get my new vette, the only question remaining is wait for the Z06 or get the current flavor!

Thanks for the very clear info! As I just stated, now do I get the Z51 or wait for the big cahuna . . . hmmm, tough one. I think I may have to wait to see the prices!
