how about an option that would give us the ability to select the c6-r clutch or at least one that is somewhere between the z06 and the c6-5. this engine will produce some much power and break traction so easily that it is real easy to get ahead of the clutch. we need one that is a bit stonger and won't engage itself when the engine is kept at or near peak power output. just try it. bring the power up and engage the clutch, keep the engine pulling near peak power, try shifting, keep engine rpm's up there, let the clutch out, see what you get, now keep the engine running and go through all the gears trying to get something going. the engine continues to produce but the clutch gives you nothing. sure it works well once you are in motion but try to get it going once you've broken it loose. traction control helps, but in comp mode you just sit and spin (the clutch ?). having the automatic engine shut off is nice and i'm glad it can't be disengaged. very nice feature especially when you know where it's at, keep it right below the set rpm and the fun begins. it is also very very nice that you can drop it down into to third and fourth at just about any speed but i wish i had just a bit more pick up while in sixth. yes i understand that sixth is an overdrive but when you are cruising along at 80 - 85 and you need to slow to 50 - 60 due to traffic, the pick up to cruise is just a tad slow.
btw: the bose sound in the 1sb is awesome, just took a bit to get accostomed too. the cd changer is slow but oh well, can't have everything.
nice touch bringing the caddy ride, f55, to the vette. the creature comforts are making my dad, who currently owns an escalade, to seriously consider one (an a4).
