2015 Corvette Stingray Z51 serial number 000001. True first serial number
Hello new to the site but I recently got a 2015 corvette stingray 2Lt package which is the first serial number This is verified by all documentation as well as a few news articles I found with photos of the car. it is a shark gray metallic convertible with grey suede and carbon fiber interior with competition racing seats Heads up display in color and countless other options. What really interests me is how collectible or what do you think this car is worth being a true first serial number I was told when the car was purchased that Gm usually keeps first serial number cars and have seen others go for outrageous amounts. Thoughts? Any insight would be appreciated. Throw some numbers at me.
Greatly appreciated

I don't think it adds value to the car. If it was VIN #1 for a 2014, that would be a different story. But VIN #1 on a Vette that has already had one year of production is just the 3#,###th Vette built.

I'm confused. Did you buy the car in hopes to flip it to make money because of the serial number? If so I hope you paid under KBB book value because that is what used C'7s are selling for. I really doubt the 2015 being an 001 serial number will increase the value.
If you want to know the true value I would look at KBB trade in value and depending wholesale and how many used Corvettes are in your area it should give you an idea. My guess is high $30's to low $40's if you trade it in depending on mileage.

I saw this yesterday on another site (ebay maybe?)
If it had a black interior id be bidding, but being S/N 000001 does nothing for me. You might could get a little more money for it, but I wouldnt expect it to be significant.

I think its kinda cool and if YOU think its cool and adds value then you just gotta sell that idea to someone else. Its worth whatever someone is willing to pay. I could maybe see it selling for a couple grand more then the others with the same miles etc.

Just under 2300 miles on the car. Mid michigan location. The car will more than likely be brought to barret Jackson or mecum auctions to see what if any the interest their is on the vin

Interesting but.....
...true #1's are on BJ Auctions, etc. Having said that it might yield some additional funds if you are willing to do some real research on what other vehicles have yielded within similar circumstances. My (uneducated) guess is 1 - 2 K but only after finding someone who collects/treasures cars based, at least partially, on production numbers which might take time and a little money on your part to put it in front of people who would be interested.....like the little girl selling lemonade for five bucks a glass and someone says you won't sell very much...her reply, "I only need to sell one."
Good luck

i agree with previous posts, that #1 for experienced collectors is the FIRST in the model style \ type: ie 2014
There is some guy somewhere that loves sitting next to his car in a parking lot, garaging it and never driving it though somewhere that might feel different than many other folks here.
All in all, market the car with that serial #. See if you can get a fish on the hook who care. Its a small market that will care for a 2015, but the right guy and the right pocketbook is all that matters. For about 98% of the market buying... its bluebook and resale later that is al lthat matters. a C7 is not a collectible for 20-40 years when this will matter more and all C8 and up models are mid engine
