Default C7 Z06 A8 with Z07, competition seats, and carbon ceramic

Need a new track toy in the New Year. I'm looking to get it by the early spring (so Mar/Apr). However, I thought I'd start looking now, to see if the right deal comes along early. The right deal now would be mid 50s (probably unlikely, but worth trying). Otherwise, when C8 comes out hopefully the prices will drop even more (or not, but we'll see ).

Forgot to mention in topic: Looking for a coupe with 3LZ or 2LZ with PDR. Also prefer these colors: yellow, long beach red, orange, white, black.

Don't care about miles as long as proper maintenance was done for the load it was put under.

Thanks for the link to the great car. I've made an offer on another one. I'll ping you today if that doesn't work out.

Not a base model by any chance but I did forget that the z06 was after 2015 and I have the Z51 with the 2014
It's a custom LT2 that took 9 months , like having a baby just one with a lot of Horsepower

A simple not quite what I am looking for would have sufficed though

Ah, sorry, didn't realize it was the Z51. I should have noticed the slotted rotors. I didn't mean to offend. I just wanted to be specific about why it didn't meet what I was looking for.

Have you found a car yet? Mine is about twice as much as you are looking for, but it comes with a lot of prominence/celebrity with it. And it may be more hp than you are looking for. It's been in 2 Advance Auto Parts TV commercials, been in SEMA and the OUSCI the last 2 years. And is pretty well known coast to coast. I'm not " actively looking to sell it ", but if the right deal were to come along I might would. Just let me know if you have any interest?
Best wishes for your search.

PS best to PM me, I don't check this thread very often.

Default Automatic Track car??

I'm sorry, shouldn't you be looking for a stick? We all know that the automatics overheat on track

Hi Thomas, thanks for the offer, but your car is not what I'm looking for.

Eli, I plan to get an aftermarket cooling system installed.

Default A8 cooling

What cooling mods were you planning on? Well my M-7, Z06 was overheating the other day on the highway, 250* while I was do 70mph on an 80* day. It dropped to 240* with the heat on full-blast!! But when I came to a stop, she cooled down to 230. So I figured my 160* thermostat went bad, (the guy's at East Coast Supercharger said that a lot of the 160* thermostats have been going bad) after putting some heat to my 160* stat, I realized that it wasn't opening! So I simply drilled, 4 1/8" holes thru the thermostat's metal frame, (at the, 12, 3, 6, & 9 o'clock position) now coolant WILL ALWAYS FLOW, even if you have a faulty- thermostat!! Since " The Mod" The coolant quickly gets to 160*, & stays around 185-190*. The hottest it gets is 205, on an 80* day, if I run it hard! My Z is putting 675hp & 700tq to The Tire!!👍
I hope this helps someone!! I will always drill my thermostats from now on,

I've read pump cavitation can be an issue so you probably have to bleed the cooling system, especially the intercooler loop. GSpeed has done a lot of testing on their cooling system, you can search this forum. That's the one I plan to install.

I've been doing this to my cars for about 30 years. A dealer tech told me about it.
