For most, a clutch is something you do maybe every 2-3 years depending on how you drive and how much you drive.

Ok i was assuming 14k because I originally was looking at a Murcielago and those were the numbers I had read for that car. I thought these were essentially same costs due to similarity of the clutch.
Currently waiting in line to get a PPI and clutch measurement but when i purchased the car it had 73% clutch life at 9000 miles measured by Lamborghini of Houston. Clutches in these cars are all relative to driving habits, don't let the clutch slip a lot and you will really extend your clutch life but clutches are definitely not $12,000-$14,000 lol more like $5,000-$6,000 and they last a lot longer than 10k miles unless you just have no idea what you are doing and aren't bright enough to figure out what not to do

I am not sure how much a Murcielago clutch is, I have never owned one, although I would love to one day.

I did too until I read that the clutch is a wear part that you can't avoid. At 14k a pop I drive my cars I'd have at least 1 clutch job not worth it. Bottom end prices are a steal right now. I've seen low mileage lp640 at 150k which is a steal I anticipate they go up.

Burning Brakes
The Murci clutch costs a bit more as the labor is more intensive and the clutch itself costs more. On the original Pre LP Gallardo clutch, expect to get 14k-20k miles out of it but the new OEM revision "F" clutch should be good for at least 40k miles. The Kevlar clutches may go for longer but that depends on the brand. Those commenting on being afraid of maintenance costs shouldn't be.....they aren't THAT bad as long as you start with a good one such as the OP's car.
