Default 416 C7 w/YSI on the dyno

This C7 came to us all the way from ST. Louis for a tune as he has gone through a few motors and was frankly tired of it. So he made the drive all the way to Phx for us to do our thing on it. After seeing the old file it was obvious why this thing kept having issues.

Youtube details:

Dave's C7 he brought all the way from st Louis for us to tune on the dyno. After a few failed motors he brought it to us to go over and tune it. 416, ysi, a8, 93 octane and meth on 11.5 psi 776 rwhp 723 rwtq. On e85 816/770.

Was that a bit of fire out of the rear on lift?

Very nice. What was wrong with his tune?

ya had a small one SOI was barely touched, knock sensors off, timing cranked way up, all the torque tables were scaled all off.

honestly not a fan of strokers on these motors. The sleeves are already crazy thin. All the big power C7's we have done are stock cube motors. Not enough data or miles on the 416's running around to know if it really is an issue or not.

Do you find pistons to be a weak link or is that concern overstated? What is the max boost & rwhp you think is safe on the stock setup with meth?

Awesome job and glad to his troubles are behind him so he can enjoy the car!

I have about 15k miles on my 416 motor, all of those miles running between 840 - 1402 rwhp.

When you had your 2200R on yours, do you remember what pulley sizes you were using to make 18-20lbs? Mine is 8.25 lower and 2.85 blower and it only made 11.5lbs on CPR's dyno. Here is Missouri it is making 13.5 though. Still a few lbs short of what I was hoping for.

You stayed at WOT for 15k miles???

Or you mean 14,975 miles at 150rwhp and 25 miles at 840-1402?

No he meant 15,000 miles. He was doing runway racing at the same runway they filmed Fast and the Furious at.
