Default Edelbrock E-Force?

I was going to do heads/cam/headers on my C7 but am now thinking about buying a stage 1 E-Force for it instead.

For those of you who have an E-Force how do you like it?

Does the car run any hotter or overheat? Do you have any problems with high IATs? Are there any problems with putting boost on top of 11.5:1 compression?

How is the drivability? How loud is the blower in normal driving and under boost?

I've had centrifugals on my C5 (now N/A) and don't want to go that route this time.

Thanks for any help on this.

We've followed each other with the 427 C5's so I'll chime in. I decided I didn't want to go the same route as I did before. I have an Eforce Stage 2 and LT's. It's an absolute blast on the street. It just feels like a big motor. I wanted the instant RWT and grunt I had on the C5 and the Eforce is there. It makes no noise that I can here. Very stealthy which I like. No heat issues on the streets and I blast mountain roads here. Do it!

Thanks, Kevin. I still have my 427 C5 and wanted something different this time with the C7 too. My stage 2 is on order. I should be getting it installed week after next.

Congrats! Turn off the 4 cylinder nonsense and I still get 29 on the highway. Make sure they cut and raise the hood liner or it will rub. It's in the instructions.

I wish I still had the Gentleman's Cruiser but it met an untimely death with a semi. That engine is in a C3 resto-rod now.

PM me your number if you want to talk more.

FYI - Maggie has a much better intercooler system and with the inlet adaptor has ability to go up to a 108mm throttle body.
The latest Maggie release for C7 has a dedicated belt drive system (Z06) and included 3yr/36K powertrain warranty.

Where did you see that? Does this mean that the Maggie can now run higher boost level than 9 psi which is the current max?

Sorry about thread hijack

That is correct, the new system has an 8" crank pulley which will allow you up to about 15psi at a 72mm upper. You'll still need to switch to a 10" lower from ATI or IW if you want to get up to the 20psi level.
