Default New build-going to the dark side

Guys started pulling the car apart last night, with selling off the Helltech cold air box. So got that off and part off the front of the car.

Going with the A/A all blacked out V3 TI head unit and the big BOV and the 3.6 pulley on this set up. Also coming is the break out wiring harness with the 3 bar z06. Also got coming the meth set up from Cajun.

The kit should be to me by the first of week after next and the car will be good to go with all the putting it back together.. Robert

Will be calling it a day after this, just hope the motor holds for a few years at this level, no more than 650 rwhp. When ever the motor goes will do a small cam and all good parts to the block.

Big to me was the c5 RHS 427 TF 245 and the F1X blower on it. I never did push that car to its limit. Before that a ls2 402 set up with a YSI on it that one I did to it limit.

But just loved every thing about the F1X set up it came on a little higher in the RPM range and never did stop pulling in the car.

It was just starting to pull in the 1/8 miles, Plus was still pulling really hard in the 1/4 mile track.. If I was ever going to do just a build for the track it would be with the F1X pushing it. Robert

I cant wait wish I had it on the car and it was warm weather also. Going to have to find a good tuner from someplace here within a 100 miles. I will do all the work on this car just cant do the tuning.

Black A&A, Ti upgrade, 3.6" pulley, methanol... add headers and that's exactly my setup!

Good choice!

So what's the verdict?

Kit should arrive on monday, installation on tuesday, dyno on wednesday? I see 675 SAE corrected horsepower in your future. (Dunno your altitude, but that's where mine is at.)

Dam man you must have been fast getting your set up on the car. I am doing all my work on this car that way I know what I have done and not done to it. Plus got me a 4 post lift to help also I have gotten to old to get under it and do it that way anymore.

I will only have a few hours each night to work on the car can't let the wifey see are know what I am doing to the car. But having giving myself 2 weeks to be done with it when I get the set up. Robert

^Heh, yeah, when my kit arrived, I wanted to do the install right away. Unfortunately, for me, I was really only able to work on it on the weekends (stupid day job) so it took me two weekends to get it done. And, to be fair, day 4 was me removing and replacing the sway bar, which I found could be installed upside downsies. So really, a 3-day job, and that was with ramps and floor jacks.

Lol I said the same thing and believe I've heard this from you before as well. I was done after heads and cam and staying NA this time but that only lasted a year.

No really man when this blower goes on the car that will be it holding the car to no more than what the stock fuel system will do on the car with the meth. Going to call it a day on the performance end of it unless the motor goes. Then will just redo and put in some good parts on pistons and rods stock crank even stock cam.

I have a friend that has a hellcat and just makes fun of the car every time he see's me out. He has even done a 180 in the road and came back got up to me and just played with me. So this summer when he does it we will be playing. May try to hit him up for a roll race for $$$.

I have put almost every BLACK C.F. part in & on the car now.

I think you mentioned you have wider wheels ready, what kind of rubber are you going to wrap them with? I think that's going to be your limiting factor, at least versus the Hellcat. The Hellcat's added weight certainly helps give it a bit more traction off the line.

No buddy in 2 years that is next month I will be 69 years old. Really this will be it unless I blow the motor then will only do forged parts on pistons and rods in the block.

I went with a 1 inch wider rim in aftermarket 18 inch and have a R888 D/R on the back. Have a stock size front set up.
