Default Auto or M7?

My main concern is durability. Which platform would be the better starting point for the occasional drag race if adding a A&A system to an otherwise stock C7 coupe.

For drag racing the auto would be quicker. For durability they both have been holding up well. I rarely see either transmissions fail other than the inherit torque converter issues with the a8 but that has nothing to do with the power being put to them but rather a issue gm has been fixing under warranty. The rear end seems to be more fragile than the trans.

Had the auto in my 2013 GS with the A&A system. A handful of people, including the installer, told me to avoid punching the gas and having the trans downshift under full power.
Maybe it was true, maybe not. Trying to learn as much as I can

That would be a different transmission than the current C7s. It seems the 8 speed handles quite a bit of power.

Auto set up per say will be faster for the 1/8 are 1/4 mile runs. The stick trans for sure will take more beating on it than a auto in these cars.

Now bad part in these cars if you really use it, is the rear end breaking the spider gear set up in it. It only has 2 gears in it but RPM going to have a set up with 4 in the rear case set up.

What I hate per say NO ONE has build a better trans or rear end yet, Not even a new gear set up for them. If you break something still have to go back to a stock piece.
