Default [VR] 2014 C7 Auto makes 941rwhp with Novi 2200X/LME 416!

The quest for 1,000rwhp has become a common theme with many of our customers recently. This particular C7 owner had this same goal in mind when he returned to us for the second round of modifications on his vehicle. This 2014 C7 was originally built for another customer out of Florida that made right at 750rwhp on pump gas and methanol injection. This combination utilized a set of our LT1 forged drop-in pistons, Stage 1 camshaft, CNC ported cylinder heads, ARH longtube header system, and ECS Novi 1500 supercharger. The car was then sold to this local gentleman who previously had a supercharged 5th gen Camaro that we had built for him to satisfy his new found speed addiction!

After a few passes at the local drag strip and two 1/2 mile events on the old setup on the car, it was time to push the LT1 even harder! The plan was to build a strong and reliable combination that would survive both normal street driving and racing events. For this, we looked to a combination that would not only utilize many of his existing pieces on the car, but also give him the reliability and performance he was looking for.

COMPLETE MODIFICATION LIST:
• LME 416ci LT1 Short Block
• Vengeance Racing Custom Camshaft Kit
• Vengeance Racing CNC Ported LT1 Cylinder Heads
• American Racing Longtube Header System
• LT4 High Pressure Fuel Pump & LT4 Injectors
• AlkyControl Methanol Injection System
• STOCK In-Tank Fuel Pump
• ECS Novi 2200X Supercharger System
• ECS 10-Rib Drive Kit
• Procharger Intake Manifold
• Innovate LC-2 Wideband Sensor Kit
• FTI Performance Torque Converter (6L80E)

This combination turned out both extremely powerful and aesthetically pleasing for the occassional car show or cruise-in that the customer might be venturing to. Once the mechanical work was completed, it was off to the dyno for tuning! We kept the restrictor plate in the supercharger intake stream to hold boost down to a conservative 13psi while using pump gas on the street. This combination made a strong 744rwhp and 709rwtq with a very flat torque curve to make for a very fun ride to the track and back home. Once this customer gets to the track, the air filter is replaced by a Turbo Guard, and the plate is removed before exchanging fuel with VP C16 race fuel. On full tilt the car was able to achieve 941rwhp and 843rwtq to hopefully put this C7 deep into the 9 second range!

For any questions on our C7 performance packages or any of your other LSX/LT engine performance needs, feel free to contact us at sales@vengeanceracing.net or call us at 678-513-7105!

18psi on C16 and is a 100% stock fuel pump in the tank, and using the LT4 HPFP and injectors.

VP 116 has a stoich of 14.77 so I bet on stock lt4 hardware and cam lobe through a Manual they could get close to 800rwhp before needing meth.. probably closer to 20gph if I was guessing

What are the wheels & tires?? How do you keep so much power to the ground?

Are they 18 in the rear?

They are 18" rears, but not sure on the brand/style. The tires are 305 Nitto NT05R.

Tell me about this 2200X? Is it bigger / better than the 2200R? Is it new? Is it a direct replacement from the 1500?

Wow nice! ..are you doing forged pistons? Vengeance / Wiseco makes a really good set of drop in forged pistons. Your 2200X should easily hit 20+ psi. Our 2200HD is hitting around 22 psi but we have GLOBS of meth spraying with a dual meth setup (two - 15 # meth nozzles).

It's a LME 416. It's all forged. This car is probably just limited by the low pressure side right now. I'm sure that will change 😈

Hey officer Martinez did you run a 3.5 pulley on your novi1500? Or just the 3.75?

That car has an LME block which means it's built top to bottom for a ton of boost. Far beyond what a drop-in piston car should do.

That being said though, I don't know that we officially have any type of Max supported horsepower rating for the Vengeance drop in LT1 pistons..
