Default Analog or digital boost gauge ? Best brand ? Install question?

Thinking about eventually running a boost gauge and an AFR wide band gauge on my 17 vette

my tuner said its not necessary since I am running low boost but it is always nice to have. Leaning toward ordering the ortiz custom gauge pod

what brand boost and AFR gauge is everyone running?
-analog or digital (i like the digital for AFR)
-how/where did you hook the boost gauge up to ? is there a pre-existing port on the manifold I can use or do you t-tap a vacuum line ?
-also looks like diff brands have diff hook up styles ?

I can get AEM, AutoMeter and DEFI wholesale

also which side do you hook the AFR up to ? LS motors had one side that ran leaner than the other and we used to always put it on that side but what about he LT ?

i do like that gauge but the pod getting made has 2 gauge holes so thats why i was gonna run seperate ones...

where did you hook up the boost/vacuum to? is there spot on the manifold or did you have to drill ?

You dont need to drill. You can tap existing lines that go into the manifold on the drivers side.

I meant with the digital style AEM gauge.

if I do a mechanical I know i can just grab the vacuum line with a T fitting.

I thought with the digitals they still read from an analog source and display the results in digital format. Thats what mine does..

Ahh. I’ve used the AEM’s on previous cars, but can’t remember much on them. Which model you going with?

not the AEM if it requires the sensor to go in a bung type of setup lol

I might just do AUTOMETER mechanical boost/vacuum and digital AFR

What I hate about autometer is they have so many diff lines of gauges i cant decide which one matches the car the best.

I just watched a video on the AEM looks like you run the vacuum line to a barb and the other end of the barb is electric style connector which goes to the gauge...

not sure what route i wanna go here.

I have ARH long tube headers and they have a bung welded in them for wideband from the factory. Mine is on pass side.
