181mph half mile
Was at the WannaGoFast event in North Carolina yesterday. It was my first half mile event and maiden voyage with my new port injection setup. It was blazing hot. Temps got into the 90's.
I had a goal of hitting 180mph and broke it with a 181 run. I only ran 3 times before leaving.
My setup puts out 909rwhp/799rwtq. I ran with my stock wheels on all 4 and decided not to use my drag setup. I brought them but was happy with how the car felt and drove and figured that changing them wouldn't help much since it had got so hot by lunch and figured it wasn't worth the effort to change them. The rear tires I used are the new Toyo r888r. They worked amazing. car felt good and stable at all speeds and hooked very well.
With the port injection and new low side pump I am now able to run e85 with no blend of 93. Before I could only run 35% with meth cranked all the way up. Meth is now set at 2. Only using meth to cool the intake charge now. Port injection setup looks oem and can't say enough how happy I am with the results.
To get more info on the port injection/low pressure pump setup which will be sold as a plug and play system essentially, contact: chris@crawford-racing.com or check out the website at Crawford-Racing.com. I know soon they willing be posting all the info on the system.

Very cool! That sweet the R888s did the job for you. What blower do you run? Was it the 2200?

Awesome! I live just north of Charlotte and really wanted to go to this event and take my car but I was out of town. I also was concerned if my NT01s would hook. That's good to hear the r888r worked good for you. 181 is rolling!

I know Julio from Alky says to not set controller lower than 3-4 as it may cause issues. Something to check into. If it is just for cooling, the better way to adjust meth is the nozzle size. If you have a m15 in there now, throw in a m10 or m5.

That's getting it done! Awesome passes. My high at the event was 164.35. I viewed logs Sunday and realized I was short-shifting terribly. Once I stretched it out a bit I started picking up a couple mph.

He's working right now and has been getting a lot of calls. I'm sure he will get with you shortly. He's going to do a post with more info. I sorta let the cat out of the bag a little premature because I was anxious to post my results from the half mile event. I'm at work now till 3pm and when I get off will try to answer some questions.

you pick the size of injectors for port injection system I went with 90lbs injectors since it would give me more than enough room to grow. Injectors can probably handle about 750hp with e85. Low pressure system consists Holley twin 1800hp e85 fuel pump. Holley boost referenced fuel pressure regulator with -6 return. All earls pro flex pimp daddy
Hose and fittings. Holley billet fuel rails and I went with fast injectors to save cost. But you can choose injector brand and size.
My cam seems to be me limiting factor now. When I started my build I planned on staying NA, so I don't have blower cam or 33%fuel lobe. If I was smart I would have changed my cam when I changed pistons. Also at a little over 16lbs of boost probably close to the limit on what my intake manifold can handle.
Here is a little video from the event/promo

Congrats on the performance. REALLY happy to see new fueling options show up. Spoke with Mike and he is one of the 1st guys to offer a solution that will provide "value" (e.g. "Shouldn't" cost an arm and a leg and doesn't require "in-house" install)...definitely following and will monitor when full "kit" is ready for sale.

hey questions. Did you have to shift to 5th? NM, I see you're an A8 now.

I'm shifting into 5th in the half. The data logs show it completely falls on its face when I do. IAT's spike so timing and boost are pulled dramatically. Patiently waiting for RPM to come out with an aftermarket solution to run 3.15's. Adding forged rods and pistons should allow to bump the limiter and help quite a bit as well. All stock bottom end with restrictor in place now.
