RWHP Gains on a *FI* Build Longtubes vs Cat Deletes/ Borla X-Pipe
On your typical meth + ECS/ A&A /Procharger setup on a stock motor (no cam), what are the rwhp gains or benefits (if any) going with ARH/Kooks/LG longtube headers + off-road xpipe compared to the less expensive option of cat delete pipes + Borla x-pipe. The cat delete/ Borla setup is ~$1000 cheaper, and easier to install/ remove come emissions time in a few years. The goal is 620-650rwhp. I understand the exhaust tone will be slightly different between the two setups, but the significant price difference begs the question of whether the headers are worth it or not.
There is the added consideration of the headers, with their thin-wall primary tubes, will always emit a certain "ping ping" sound compared to cast iron manifolds.
Flame suit on for a question that has surely been asked before, but that the OP could not find a definitive answer to when searching.

Nice car!!!! The Procharger is loud so I would do ESS with their 2200 setup. I would go with Texas Speed Headers and keep the npp. It goes from quiet to loud when you want it to. Keep the CATS so you do not have to change them out all the time... And like you said the methanol and E85 conversion.
