I've seen a 650hp bolt C7Z, A8 car break a CV shaft at the track, no wheel hop, just broke on the hit.

Usually they break spider gears before the axles though....Unlike C5s/C6s, which usually break the stub axles in the diff first.

Supposedly RPM transmissions has the Quafe diff conversion prototype done, I doubt its on their site yet but....Its coming and supposedly works with the electronics....(although the electronics aren't actually controlling the posi anymore).

The guy that is making the 4 spider gear set up is from CA does it from his home like. You send out your rear he puts it together and send it back to you.

He called me we talk for at least 20 mins very nice guy from what I see from pic's and that looks ton stronger for sure. told me price was from 1200.00 to 1500.00 for labor & parts..

I did the wavetrac from RPM Todd & Rodney great people...

A friend broke one on his axles on his stock 2014 Z51 A6 launching at the track about 1.5 years ago. Saw it happen..

my buddy broke his axle on his 2015 A8 c7 auto with 800 rwhp at my rental last year

15 c7 auto Bolton’s with E85 and Texas speed heads, broke the passenger half shaft at the 60ft
car was probably around 500rwhp and upper 48x tq
tires were 18” 315 nto5rs

you guys are certain it was axle and not differential?

where are the photos of the broken axles? that would be neat to see

as a follow up to this, i went ahead and changed mine and feel it was a good move, the same weekend two other high powered c7 autos broke axles ending their day.
