I know a local car built by GForce that made 830 rwhp, and it was ran pretty hard for a while roll racing it...It finally broke a rod. Snapped it right in the middle, big end and small end was still free and smooth so....The rod was just over powered.

I don't think I'd go over 750 rwhp on one.... let alone the weak *** pistons. It dame sure ain't no LS3 motor....

IMOP, if you are pulling the motor for pistons, its not much more for rods..... $600 for a set of Compstar or K1 rods and re-balancing, sizing bearings etc.... Definitely worth the extra $1k you'll spend for piece of mind..

I’ve already got the drop in pistons so im good there. At the time, I was pretty tapped out and couldn’t spend any more. I wish I woulda did rods though. “I’ll never go over 850whp”. Mmmm hmmm.... you know where this is going..

You know it’s just a matter of time Ant! For the forged rods I mean.
