I just installed phadt headers w cats on my 2014 z51 m7 and i dont like the ticking sound it makes on lower rpm. Does all headers tick? Can i reduce the ticking somehow?

I have LG headers with no ticking are do you mean a exhaust leak sound at low RPM. Robert
I only use ARH or Kooks, some other use thin wall tubing and you will hear that tin can crackle sound. Header wrap will help, assuming it’s not the tick of a gasket leak. Also, I use the factory steel shim gaskets, even though manufacturers say to use only their gaskets.

on the header wrap plus OP here I also use ARP header studs in my head.. Sounds like just a cheap header YOU may be able to pull the header back off the car & check the full head that bolts up to the head & check to make sure it is 100% flat if not file it down are have it machine down to make it flat will work.. Robert
I dont know if pfadt is the cheep ones but maybe...
I agree on not being cheap in price but then again from them filing BK then opening back up they don't do as much as they did for sure. A ton a people lost a lot of money on them when they did file BK.. But OP here look at the Part of the header that bolts up to the head make sure it is truly flat. It is the head gasket are what I telling you here one of the two.. Robert
