388 or 416 or 427
looks like were pulling the motor on the 15 z06 m7 with the f1x. am wondering why everyone doesn't do a 427 with the resleeved block or is it just the safe way to do 416. why not turn the rpms up a bit with the shorter stroke and go the 388 route. am interested in everyones thoughts. yes swe are staying with the stick and have the z51 gearing in it. g1pro intake and intercooler also. thanks, joe

cubes don't matter as much with big boost. don't waste your money on cubic inches, make it strong instead. long stroke and thin cylinders is for NA, IMO.

because you can. i even built a 416 with a centri with my old stingray and I wouldn't do it again. you'll make 40-50 extra ft lbs of torque when all you really need to do is pulley down a couple psi for the same thing. if you build a stronger small cube engine you can have more RPM (all else equal) and not push the block and run a bigger blower/more boost.

Its bore vs stroke.
388 4.125 x 3.625
416 4.070 x 4.00
427 4.125x 4.00
You can use a head with a larger valve on the 4.125 bore but you can't get there with a stock LT1/4 sleeve.
