Default LT1 Nitrous & e85

I have a 2015 z51 A8, and planning on installing the following:

1 7/8 LT headers and xpipe
e85 flex fuel sensor
100 shot of nitrouse
afe cold air intake
Tune

If I run straight e85 and 100 shot of nitrous will the stock fuel system on the LT1 be able to handle it? If i recall someone mentioned I might have to upgrade my fuel pump. Any info and or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Nope. Stock fuel system doesn't stand a chance. You will need a AUX low side and LT4 injectors and high pressure pump. The e85 variable is where you fall short.

You could do a 100 shot on the stock fuel system, but not with e85 also.

With that setup u can do 100 shot with e85 with no problem with stock fuel system. I did it for years before adding a cam. E85 is actually safer to run with nitrous. The need to upgrade fuel system is when ur boosted and making over 650-700whp and wanting to run E85. Hell I made 750whp on 93 and meth boosted on stock fuel system

I ran nitrous on my old Z and instead of upgrading the fuel system, I just went with a standalone tank and filled it with MS 109. Worked flawlessly!!

Yea I'm on straight e85 now na and my tuner told me no way after looking at the duty cycles. He said best bet was to run a fuel cell with c16 for the nitrous. The nx fuel cell is about $500 unless you go with the version you can use with boost which is a few hundred extra.

Yea the stand alone fuel cell is the solution for you. that takes the burden off the stock fuel system when on the spray.

Youll be fine on stock fuel system and e85 on a 100 jet. 150 maybe but 200 definitely not

I asked this same thing a while back. 500-550 rwhp is about all that is safe on E85 on the stock fuel system. Just how far you want to push it is up to you and your tuner, could do a 75shot to play safe. Or get LT4 injectors and pump would be the correct fix. Also could possibly do a E30-E40 mix, but that seems like a hassle to me.

If you have a wet sump motor the C6 stand alone fuel cell fits perfect in the C7 passenger fender. Check out this members post. I talked to him and he said he only has to make a lower bracket for it if I remember right. I wouldn't run a 200 shot on the stock fuel system. It might work but for the extra money I would feel more comfortable with a stand alone.

Here is the fuel cell he used. I mean what is the ZL1 pump going to cost you?
