Default Vortech Supercharger vent plug used on Procharger

I don’t know if this has been hashed out yet but with all of the Procharger blown seal horror stories, had anyone successfully used a Vortech vented plug in place of the dipstick to vent the supercharger? I guess what I really want to know is what the thread size of the Vortech vented plug is. Thanks in advance for any help.

I just thought the Vortech one would look cleaner and I like how the vent hole comes out of the side of the plug so dirt and contamination doesn’t go directly into the gear case of the supercharger

So I did it! Made a Vortech vented plug work in a Procharger! Had to re-tap the threads on a lathe but a guy at work did it for me! No more leaky seals!

Never heard anything about this until now why would ProCharger knowingly keep selling a faulty dipstick? I have an F1A-94 few months old no issues yet but would like to understand this more before I just dump the intended design...

I don’t think their dipstick is faulty just sometimes the pressure in the case builds up and the seal blows just being proactive based on the many issues people have been having with blown seals. Also the fact Vortech has a vent on theirs makes me lean more toward having this mod on the Procharger.
