Default False level reading from washer fluid tank with methanol?

Lately my low washer fluid level indicator is tripping even though I have plenty of methanol in the tank. Anyone else have this issue? Not sure how this sensor works so not sure if it's something that can damage with methanol over time or not.

I'm curious. 2 years no issues. That's what I'm looking for. Would you share your set up?
I want to add meth to my 16 ZO6 for obvious reasons. Its a track car and maxing hp is not as important as maintaining an optimum tune and not going into detune after 10 minutes of hard runnig . I'm running 100 octane tuned by GM it helps and I have not gone into limp mode since. But there is more left to be had.

Dont try to push it to the limit man you will go up in smoke just a matter of time.. The meth at what rwhp power are you if you are at 750 plus DO a two 15 nozzle in it only way to go here.. Plus to the other guy if your pump is two good years old buy you a new one, then send the one you have out to the guy in FLA that makes them. Ask anyone in here that has been racing this stuff for any amount of time a two good year & get the pump rebuild.. Robert

Default False low level.

Well one would think the level sender is meth resistant especially if your running the std water mix like it would see normally. I don't have any experience with methanol on any of my cars yet and get warned regularly of the common system failures that lead to meltdowns. Both cars, the Vortech on E46 BMW and the zo6 could use more cooling of the intake charge not for more power but to maintain power and reduce heatsoak. Maybe I'm just cheating on on an otherwise overtaxed system but it sure seems like an easy way to keep temps down or even run a couple laps a little alcohol rich to lower temps and get more steady power and safetime. Double nozzel on the vette make sense. Alky kit? Who makes the most reliable system?

I ran meth in my c5 washer for over 4 years never had the problem that you are saying here. Plus I ran pure meth in my set up but more than not is may be like the guy is telling you above here. Robert

Probably best to just replace the sensor. It can’t be too expensive.

Washer fluid typically has methanol in it so the tank, pump, lines and sensor are methanol-compatible. Might just be a bad sensor that needs to be replaced.

Alky seems to be the most popular. I think Snow has upgraded theirs but they had some bad referrals on the old stuff. I'm going with Alky. Since Nitrous Express bought Snow I was hoping to hear good reports now. NX in my SS with the NX FAST manifold port injection is us nice system but lean spikes are pretty bad if I don't purge fuel to the port nozzels (not the solenoids). Bad hesitation and backfires unless fuel void is is fixed. Nitrous hits so hard and quick fuel just doesn't have chance to meter properly. It's my first port injection system. Maybe there was something else wrong. I am starting over as Livernois smoked my motor and never tuned it right or installed kit properly. Beware of incompetence from any vendor. I swear I got the B team. Everything was bad from quotation to bad install and glory pull resulting in cooked motor and terrible "kill tune". I'm not looking back. All new forged build now. For anyone considering Livernois now I sugfest looking deeper before getting trapped.

Sorry I kind of forgot I posted this...busy with work.

Do you know where the sensors is on the washer tank? I may do that just to be safe. Thanks!

Yea if I remember correctly its right there when you open the wheel well liner next to where the pump was.

Yea Ant is right. It’s right there when you remove the liner. Replace the grommet the sensor goes into also. It will fail eventually. Item 11 in the diagram.
