just bought a 2014 C7 Stingray manual with 28K mile on it and with a pro charger in it. sometimes when i gas it for the boost at 5k+ RPM the check engine light will come on and blink then about 10 sec after i went back to casual driving the blinking check engine light turn off. "BUT" if i casually speed up for the boost then there is no flashing check engine light. Any body have symptoms like this? the car does stutters at low rpm "sometimes" from 1k-3k rpm, but if i clutch it and give it more gas then i dont really feel that stuttering especially when the boost kick in and the idling is rough.
- worst case scenario, lets hope its not a piston issue because i heard it can get expensive. if it is then what is the symptoms of a bad piston?
- other issue is throttle sensor?
- Bad tune from previous owner? Lets hope it's just a bad tune. The dealer doesn't know nothing when i ask them if the previous owner have any tune on it or what kind of Pro charger it is.
i'm going to get a diagnostic test on it and a dyno and tune, but i just want to see what you guys have experience and thoughts. I never own a corvette before let alone a pro charge/turbo/supercharge car so i dont know what am i suppose to feel.
You’re likely experiencing misfire, that’s why the CEL is flashing. Check your plugs and make sure the gap isn’t too wide. Also check to make sure you don’t have a cracked plug or burnt plug wire. If those are all good, you could have a weak coil pack.
