The rattle in your video is similar to what I experienced with the same blower.

Thanks,
Chris

I sent a video off to whipple & they told me this is normal at idle even after breaking in. They did advise me to make sure it doesn’t rattle while driving after its broken in past 1500 miles. I’m don’t have that many miles on it yet.

The air duct is blocking too much of it.
Looks real nice from what I can see.

Looks great. I wish I had ordered that instead. I bet there is no heat soak and probably runs cooler than all other non metallic units... Enjoy

Just curious.. Why would a guy take off the stock supercharger off his Z06 and put on a whipple?

Stock blower did nothing but heat soak right away, didn't cool down the iat2 much at all because of the small intercooler bricks and when it was overspun with a pulley it quickly ran out of steam in the upper rpm's on highway pulls.

Hmmm. I'm assuming you sold it and got the whipple.. I have a Paxton on mine. Centrifugal. It came that way. Wish it had a whipple or Magi..

yeah, I sold my factory blower and put the whipple on. its night and day with the cooling benefits. arguably any blower upgrade would be better than the heat issues with stock. just depends on your preference for type / model / usage case.

The Whipple is 2.9 liters verses the stock 1.7 you don’t have to spin the Whipple as much and as mentioned larger bricks and the blower whine is cool.

I wish I had a PD blower. The centrifigal blower starts about 3500. It doesn't do any good on the low end. I never drive in the 3500 rpm range. grrr

No offense, thats why I upgraded to a whipple / PD blower over a pro charger. my local shop kept pushing me for a pd blower. In all fairness a pro charger would probably give me more traction, but thats not how I use the car. I don't drag race it. its used for spirited street driving or back hills and curves. Im happy with the way I went even though I don't have it turned up to 4 digit whp numbers.

I just bought a 2014 Z51. It has a centrifigal blower on it. I'm not really happy with it. I don't like the sound it makes, and like the the guy above said, I never drive in the 3500 rpm range either. I would love to swap it out for a whipple or something, but ,damn, they are so expensive!
