Default HALP!!! Procharger install

Full kit is on except this blasted silicone inlet coupler! I’ve used WD40, hair dryer, etc and it won’t go over the inlet on my P1X. Any suggestions! I’ve searched which is where the WD40 and heat came from

Put it on the blower first.

Try trimming the edge of your fan if you need more clearance. Also contact Procharger they have other options for intakes. OR, get you a 90 degree silicone coupler ensuring ID fits over OD of supercharger (other brands have more flex). Try siliconeintakes.com They are priced well and lots of options and fast shipping. You may have to piece it together but it will get you moving.

I tried that at first and still couldn’t get on but the instructions had it going this way so I decided maybe it was for a reason and would help it go on. But no luck

You sure that’s correct coupler? The other hoses on my procharger are that material but the intake coupler is a dull different type rubber.

the parts list says 3.5 to 4 and the P1X is 3.75 inlet but a search says people still get them on. I’m defeated and just ordered a 3.75 to 4 elbow. Now I wait 😞

You can try this option or call Procharger to see if it fits. I am running an F1A-94 here, but they offer left to right options is my point. I also went with a custom filter size that I measured and made use of every inch of open space. The K&N filter that came with the kit was incredibly small and useless.

I also have a Procharger Bellmouth that I swap on for track events. I doubt you want to spend $400+ on that, but it's also another option when you want full power.

damn sweet setup!!!

I contacted procharger today said I indeed have the right part. Said I can buy the “race inlet” but I can’t swap them out. So I’m going with the different elbow option and see if that works

Good deal and good luck with everything. At least it's minor stuff. :-)

Well purchased elbow is flimsy and too short on intake side. I’m at my wits end and frustrated. Everything else went so smooth. But can’t get car running because of the stupid intake

Can I start it up without the intake? Also with the opening in the pcv system?

I had the race (open filter) setup then later changed over to cold air intake. Like you I could not get that elbow on if my life depended on it. Trimming it made things worse. I ended up using the race filter elbow then cutting the filter housing so I could fit a reducer. This doesn’t help your current situation but confirms you’re not alone.

thank you for this! You’re right it doesn’t help me get the car running but it helps me mentally, because I did feel alone. Couldn’t find much online about it being an issue and procharger made it seem like no sweat. Thought how could I install this full kit and basically can’t install an intake…

Did you notice any boost loss when going from race inlet to the stock type set up ?

Honestly not sure. I pulley’d down one size at the same time as other changes, so I wouldn’t know. It just gets too hot during our summers to keep an open element.

It’s alive guys! Thanks for all the help and suggestions and support! The under hood cowl won’t fit and hood shut so I still think I’m gonna bite the bullet and go with the “hot air intake” (stage 2 inlet) its like $300 from brute speed. Scared to take all this off now that’s it’s running but not happy with the fitment
