Default Build question

I am doing bolt on’s to my 14 c7 z51. I decided to go to 2” headers and x pipe with the ecs 1500 with the upgraded rib belt. I am looking at intakes and I know the msd is probably the most popular. Does fast not make lt1 intakes? While I was going to do a intake, I was going to do a lt4 hpfp and injectors. Where do you think this would put me whp range estimated. E85? Meth? I dont want to hand grenade the engine. Obviously I understand the risk. Want to confirm what I am doing makes sense.

thanks

You only need the injectors and fuel pump if you’re going to run E85. E85 requires more fuel than 93 which is why the stock LT1 injectors can’t keep up. I would just go with Meth Injections and be done with it and skip the additional fueling.

if you turn the power up beyond 700whp you will then need more fueling PLUS the internals done so you’re looking at probably $15k-$20k additional cost beyond your initial upgrade investments.

The 1-7/8” headers would be better for you at the power you’re looking to get with your upgrades.

CAI…Skip the standard aftermarket CAI and go with a 5” CAI as it flows way more air. Cordes and others make great ones.

With headers/exhaust, 5” CAI, Magnuson 2650, Meth Injection and a solid tune you should be between 650-700whp.

I dont see your motor going down the road for to long with the stock cam & spring set up in it. When this car gets into the 650 rwhp if you push it hard the springs will go. The MSD intake will work good for what you are looking at doing. Also the 2 inch headers will help you with less boost thur the rpm range. Robert
