I can understand why some wouldn't like it. It's too futuristic and sleek for some that are use to the usual tired and old designs currently being offered.
I think it looks bad ***! It's the direction GM needs to keep pursuing. It is finally distinctly aggressive enough in that iteration to compete with the styling of the Viper and those that think the C6 is just too damn plain sissy looking.

Son of a Bee sting, that better not be the new vette. Im not a huge fan of the c6 and this thing looks 10 times worse.
Its the lights, just the lights of the c6 that i dont like. the rest of the car is awesome.

Alright, I've seen this car one too many times. You folks do realize that this is a car on a movie set? Right? A movie, a FICTIONAL movie. Okay, now that we are all on the same page here, can we stop discussing this as being the C7?

The bottom photo looks great IMO. Everything in front of the rear door jamb looks awesome. The rear, not so much. First, heat that thing right above the rear wheels and bend that butt back down! Bring the glass down to meet the rear, not the other way around. Do that, and this (again, IMO) would be an AWESOME car. Now, getting the weight distribution correct would take some engineering but I think it could be done. Looks like it would be an extremely fun car but don't know how well it would turn.

I'm really digging the radical design elements. Of course the production car will be softened up in an effort to keep those with pacemakers from having the big one just as the C6 was dumbed down from its original concept.

Retro Vette.......
That is the picture of the Retro Vette that Gohard spoke of a year ago.
We didn't know if that was going to be the SS, ZR1 or the C7. Turns out, it might be in a new Transformers picture, who knows??

They have an interview with the stars from the first one...they were scared $hitless every time they drove the thing. A $1 Million + prototype...had to remove all sharp objects from pockets, etc.
It COULD be smart PR to show the public what they are looking at doing, and letting US have a say in the final design of the C7...
I can see some tweaks to the rear end, but the rest looks pretty sweet.

I like it! Looks pretty sharp and the back end looks to be getting a break from the huge rear that the C5s started and the C6s continued (which I didn't have a problem with). Would be very VERY cool if they brought back pop up headlights like those from the C3. They would fit that form well. Who cares if they weren't as aerodynamic or as light weight as fixed headlamps? Yes, there were times when in the Vette's history it did without pop ups but there are three things that are iconic to me when I think of Corvette: big long hood, four circular tail lights and pop up lights.
People say they hate retro inspiration but then complain when it's "too futuristic". What gives? If you don't like the design approach (I do) that the new C7 may take, there are six previous generations to choose from. Go restore an old C4 and save it from the crusher.
