The C6 body comes from the C4 which is about as fugly as it gets and no motor to boot. There have been some "GREAT" upgrades through the years to the car which makes it look a hell of a lot better than a 85 vette. That being said I also like staying true to a body style with slight changes through the years like porsche has done. Being I'm 34 years old I feel as though im the next target market that will be buying a car in the price range of a corvette. The problem I find is when I walk into the dealership and try making a bad investment to buy a great piece of engineering, "the corvette" should be a no brainer. I dont ever go through the purchase of a new one though, why? It isnt Because the are boring looking. It's because of the image that they hold. This image i dont want attached to me.
Its the 80s and 90s when individuals likes the indy pace car look, checker flagged floor pads, two tone interior, calvin pissing on ford stickers. Now as time has pass most have moved on. Although there are still a few of you out there. I feel as though this drags the cars image down. I dont think it's the name corvette that has the problem, it's more the body style. The reason I say that is because my wife has a hard time telling a C4 to C7 apart. The main difference in her mind is the price tag.
Its time for a new body style the c6 is a great looking car to me I just can spend the cash on a new one when they still look c4ish. This is why I continue to but old vettes.

The way air flows over a car may have something to do with it. Old vettes were about as airo as a barn.

If you're buying (or not buying) the Corvette for the "image" it portrays, then you're not an enthusiast, IMO. Buy the Vette for the CAR or for the wonderful community it represents. If your wife cannot tell a C4, C5, or C6 apart, then I am confused as to why her opinion matters to you.

As alike as the C5 and C6 are, when the C6 first came out there were angles on the car i just could not get used to. I loved the C5 instantly when it came out in 97, but the C6 took a long time. So having said that, i think they are very similair yet certain angles make them very different. I hope im not contradicting myself too much here, its really hard to explain.

Honestly i have no idea how someone can confuse a C4 with a C5 or a C6. Maybe one can confuse a C5 with a C6......from a distance. A far distance at that.

If that car in your avatar is yours, then by all means keep it! Its a real looker. Do whatever makes you happy. Personally i hope they can make a big enough change to the C7 to make it an upgrade over the C6 in appearance and technology, without making the C6 "obsolete".

In the first place you answered many of your own questions however some are wrong, better check your history books again or, where ever you got your answers from. The early man that started living as a family unit and began "farming" was in the area of Turkey and Greece, they began actual farming here in these areas. They weren't nomads, as you call them.
