I'm really hoping that a true (from the ground up) sequential gearbox system is part of the C7. I enjoy heel/toe n' all but I'd really like to be able to use left foot braking and paddle shift with rapid response on all shifts. My worry is that the tech will be just an automatic gearbox with paddles to make people feel good instead of a class leading system which can be used for aggressive driving.
I have not driven the ZR1 so this might already be addressed in the current lineup. If so, that's great news and hope it makes it to the standard and Z0x models.
For those with Z07 packages, how is the new traction control system? The biggest problem I have with the C5 Z06 was how aggressive the system is. It bogged the car down instead of managing wheelspin and providing smooth power delivery and in competition mode, it was much too eager to apply corrective braking. I know this was improved in the C6 but I'm not sure how much more evolved the Z07 package is in this regard. This is an another area I'd like to see an option. I'd like a system that only works on SMOOTHLY managing wheelspin but no corrective braking applied. The only reason being a smoother exit out of slow corners in lower gears.
