Do any of you think it could be a possibility on the C7, like on the 370z? I think that would be one of the worst possible things they could do
If someone can't rev match on their own, they don't have any business having a manual transmission imo.
Thoughts?
Edit- Don't get me wrong, I think its a cool idea, but it's just not for me. Or anyone else that enjoys driving stick, right?

I hope we hurry up and get "AutoDrive" soon. The whole steering and braking thing are really getting in the way of my texting, talking on the phone, surfing the web, and watching movies on my way to work and when I am at the track at driver training courses.

I think that having the computer blip the throttle for me would help be drive the car better. I usually blip the throttle before downshifting, but it's tough to do sometimes. I can't come close to heel & toe'ing.
I seem to remember Car and Driver liking it a lot, it works better than we could do it ourselves was the jist of what they said about it (from memory) I say include it, and have it be defeatable in the DIC or elsewhere, that way everyone's happy.
at one time i was considering a 370z. i have driven stick shift cars all my life. i found the rev matching to be gimmicky. for me it didnt bring anything to the table. my guess is someone who hasnt driven a stick very much and is looking at getting into a performance car this might add some appeal. but if you're used to driving a stick its just bling.
now manual auto shifting tran like a GTR is different and would be neat to see but just a rev matching and you still shift seems pointlesss.
I drove a 370Z a few times and it was very nice, and it NEVER misses the right rpm. Don't like it? There's a button that turns it off and you forget it was ever there.

I own a '11 370 and, personally, I love the feature. It's dead-on 100% of the time when even the most seasoned driver would be off by many RPM.
