Default C7 build quality???

I just came back from the NY Auto show saw the
New 2013 Viper GTS its insane. GM are u listening the C7 better be as good in build quality. I looked at a C6 after the Viper and
You can tell the lack of build quality. The Vette looks like
A tupperwear car. Why cant Gm build the C7 like the Viper which is also
CF and plastic but does not look it. Those curves on Viper are pure sex.
If no one told me the Viper was all plastic i would never know.
I expect alot from the C7 design wake up GM if u want new blood get with the program.

That is funny because I was just showing my wife this new Viper video and I was bitching about the fit just bellow the head light. 1/4 inch gap...non production car bla bla but it bugged the hell out of me.

http://youtu.be/kJuWSk_vAWQ

VIEDO WARNING..you may want a new Viper after video, dispite big gap between hood and front finder on the driver side.

I'm gonna guess that any factory car at the Auto Show is going to be very carefully adjusted to make sure all the gaps are right on. Especially a new version of a car like the Viper. We'll see what happens when they are into it a year or so.

FWIW, I've always been very happy with the fit and finish on my '05 vert.

They have a winner there if it performs as well as it looks. Ferrari influence apparent.

640 HP for $100,000(according to SRT spokeslady on FOX this morning) along with shedding 150 lbs from 2010 Viper( that would make the Viper lighter then the ZR1 by around 43 lbs). GM has a problem on their hands(C6 ZR1 with 638 HP for $125,000 kind of problem).

C7 competition is a very good thing for the Corvette buyer.

Would they even try if there was no Viper?

The standard Viper bases for 100K, the Viper GTS (the one on fox and at the NY auto show ) bases for just over 120K.

General Motors has seriously stepped up their game the last few years in terms of design, materials, and build quality. I have very high hopes for the C7 in all areas.

I think the corvette community will be very surprised how great the C7 is.

Same thing with my '06, the car is nearly flawless in that department (and others), the look/feel of a solid, well made, drum tight car.

All of the other tech articles we'd read last week said that the weight loss was right around 100 pounds even. Still impressive though.

$111,600.00 actually, but I still get what you're saying.

Does no one see how much this looks like a Vette from the front and sides? The back looks like the new Kia Optima.

GEEZ Viper, get your own look! I liked the old body style better.

Not really...just looks like an old GTS coupe with an Alpha-Romeo body kit...some euro enhancements...and italian interior.
